How to Volunteer
Lifting others with the voices of community support!
Cards of Compassion is a volunteer-driven greeting card drive.
We are a community service non-profit organization that sends compassion in three simple steps.
1 We ask our generous community to send uplifting messages through our Virtual Card program on our website, or by mailing us messages written on handmade or traditional store-bought greeting cards. We accept inspirational, "thinking of you", get well, birthday, winter seasonal and Christmas cards. Our volunteers send us messages with the goal to give reassurance, strength, and inspiration to those who need it.
To mail a handmade or store-bought greeting card, send cards to this address:
Cards of Compassion
102 W Main Street #1006
New Albany, OH 43054
Include your card in the envelope if you have one, but do not seal the envelope.
Do not address the outside of the envelope with a return address.
You may send several cards together in one large envelope or box..

Need Help Finding the Right Words?
Find inspiration in your favorite quotes, poems, and song lyrics.
Look at other greeting cards and what they say.
Google "Birthday Quotes" etc for ideas.
Include something personal about yourself, like what state you are writing from, or if you have a pet.
2 Cards of Compassion gathers together the Virtual Card messages and greeting cards. We carefully select around 50 cards that are special for each recipient, depending on their life situation. Then we bundle them in a bright ribbon. Then we mail this bundle to the recipient!
3 Our recipients are nominated by a family member or friend who cares for them deeply and wishes them to receive some heartfelt compassion and kindness. Our service is free and available to people of all ages and situations..
